The Conduit is a first-person shooter for the Wii based on the Quantum3 - Engine .

The Conduit is set in Washington, DC in the near future. The earth is attacked there by extraterrestrials , the so-called factotes (in the original Drudge ). The player takes on the role of agent Michael Ford, who is supposed to try to stop the terrorist Prometheus on behalf of John Adams, the head of a secret organization, the so-called syndicate (in the original trust ). a. to be responsible for the invasion. In doing so, however, he uncovered an enormous conspiracy. An important key element of the game is the All-Seeing Eye (ASA), a high-tech mobile device that Ford et al. a. Hack various consoles, open hidden doors, and even defuse invisible mines.

The English dubbing can still be heard in the German version, but a German subtitle is available. The player character Agent Michael Ford is voiced by Mark Sheppard , whose father William Morgan Sheppard speaks Ford's manager John Adams. The terrorist Prometheus is voiced by Kevin Sorbo .

The Conduit received mostly positive, but not outstanding, reviews. The controls and the multiplayer modes are particularly praised. The single player mission is too short with about 8 hours of play time and consists of elements that are already known from other games.

The successor to The Conduit is Conduit 2 , which was released exclusively for Nintendo Wii on April 21, 2011.
