The Firm was a British rock band that existed from 1984 to 1986. Due to the prominence and musical origin of its founders, the band is considered a supergroup .

history

The Firm was founded in 1984 by Jimmy Page (guitar) and Paul Rodgers (vocals, guitar). The other band members were Tony Franklin (bass, keyboard) and Chris Slade (drums, percussion).

Originally, Page wanted Bill Bruford to be the drummer and Pino Palladino to be the bass player, but both were contracted. Although the group had successful tours, record sales were rather disappointing.

After two albums, the band broke up in 1986. Page and Rodgers continued their solo careers, Slade joined AC / DC, and Franklin joined the band Blue Murder .

The song Fortune Hunter went back to the XYZ sessions of Jimmy Page, Robert Plant , Chris Squire and Alan White (from Yes ) in 1981.
