The same amount is due if Jimmie manages to find a lead role for Pearl within 60 days.

Jimmie takes over a theater from one of his debtors who is currently absent. His acquaintances, the former actors Beatrice and Howard Hathaway, are supposed to practice the operetta The Mikado by Gilbert and Sullivan with Pearl . The Hathaways are hoping for another chance and sell their restaurant. Jimmie, on the other hand, wants to make money with Pearls.

Jimmie puts Pearl's name first on the posters and takes the second $ 500. But the actual theater owner is now back in town and has his lawyers stop the show.
