The Glass Slipper was a jazz club in Vancouver that had existed since the early 1990s . After a fire in 1997, the venue run by Ron Samworth and other musicians did not reopen.

The Glass Slipper was one of the central venues for improvisation and jazz music in Vancouver in the 1990s. The club was initially located in the basement of the Royal Canadian Legion Hall on East 11th Street ( location ), then in a more suitable building, a former church in the parking lot of the Biltmore Hotel. Originally created as a practice site with occasional concerts, The Glass Slipper quickly evolved into a venue with concerts held seven evenings a week. There occurred u. a. Kenny Wheeler , Dylan van der Schyff and Peggy Lee , as well as local greats such as Claude Ranger, Christopher Sigerson and Renee Doruyter. Several concerts were recorded and published in the venue, including a. by François Houle , Christy Doran / Fredy Studer (as part of the International Jazz Festival Vancouver 1992) and Hugh Fraser .
