Headcat 13 is a Rockabilly - Supergroup around the singer Danny B. Harvey. Lemmy Kilmister from Motörhead played a key role in the group until his death in 2015 .

1999 founded Slim Jim Phantom of The Stray Cats , Danny B. Harvey from Lonesome Spurs and The Rockats and Lemmy from Motörhead to shoot for a Elvis Presley - tribute album the group as The Head Cat . The band name is a combination of the band names of the members, Motörhead , The Stray Cats and 13 Cats .

In 2006 the band released their first studio album, Fool's Paradise , a re-release of the previous album Lemmy, Slim Jim & Danny B. The album included cover songs by artists such as Buddy Holly , Chuck Berry , Carl Perkins , Jimmy Reed , T -Bone Walker , Lloyd Price , Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash .

Kilmister played acoustic guitar on the recordings and often used his Rickenbacker bass for live performances on the grounds: “I'm just not that good at the guitar.” A year later, a DVD was released with a live performance in the Phantom Cat Club on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles where Kilmister played the acoustic guitar. This recording included thirteen recorded pieces as well as live interviews with the band.

The album Walk the Walk ... Talk the Talk , released on June 21, 2011 by Niji Entertainment, was the first new release in eleven years.

In 2017, the band announced former front man of the groups Morbid Angel and genitorturer David Vincent as the new singer and successor to the late Lemmy Kilmister. After Phantom's departure, the band name was changed to Headcat 13 as a demarcation of the personnel change.

A new album is planned for 2020.
