The Inc. Records (formerly Murder Inc. Records ) is one of Irv Gotti founded in 1997 hip-hop - record label . Along with Def Jam and Roc-a-Fella Records , it is one of the largest independent music labels of its kind in the USA . Well-known artists signed to Inc. Records include Ja Rule , Ashanti , Vanessa Carlton , Cadillac Tah , Thunderkatz, and Black Child . Formerly included Vita and Charli Baltimore them.
Conflict with 50 cents
In March 2000, Murder Inc. artist Black Child stabbed the now world-famous 50 Cent in front of a recording studio in New York City . Before that, a brawl had preceded, in the course of which 50 Cent was said to have drawn a weapon. Accordingly, the knife attack was classified as self-defense. There are contradicting interpretations of the course of events that differ in the respective disstracks. It is certain that Irv Gotti and his brother Christopher were also present. The dispute between G-Unit and Murder Inc. started in Atlanta when Ja Rule met 50 Cent and told him that he would not buy the gangster style from him, whereupon 50 Cent beat Ja Rule and started a fight. Furthermore, Ja Rule was criticized by various rappers for considering themselves to be the successor to 2Pacs . a. Busta Rhymes , Eminem and 50 Cent.
