The JB's was an American music group. a. James Brown , Bobby Byrd , Lyn Collins and other singers associated with the James Brown Revue accompanied; they also appeared as a single group.
history
The JB's were founded in March 1970. The band was also referred to on records under changing names such as The James Brown Soul Train , Maceo and the Macks , AABB , The First Family and The Last Word . In 2015 they were nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The JB's had a lasting influence on many later groups in the funk genre. In Japan, for example, an ensemble emerged with Osaka Monaurail , whose name refers directly to the group or its piece It's the JBs' Monaurail and which later worked closely with the members of JB's (as well as James Brown's “first diva” Marva Whitney ) . Prince named Pass the Peas (1972) one of 55 songs that inspired him musically.
