The magnets
The Magnets are a six-piece British a cappella band consisting of Nicolas Doodson, Michael Welton, James Fortune, Andrew Frost, Stephen Trowell and Fraser Collins (real name Colin Fraser).
Career
The group was formed during a performance of Guys and Dolls at University College London .
They signed with EMI and released their first debut album , Giving It All That , in 2001 . For the next few years she was seen touring with Lisa Stansfield , Michael Ball , Tom Jones and Geri Halliwell . Also appeared on The Michael Parkinson Show , Blue Peter and GMTV . In 2004, the band released their album, Another Place , the nine original songs and two covers includes, also with a rendition of Stephen Stills ' For What It's Worth . Her next album, Gobsmacked , features songs like Girls & Boys , Im Original by Blur and Sweet Dreams by Beyoncé , as well as live favorites like “ Poker Face ” by Lady Gaga and “ Livin 'on a Prayer ” by Bon Jovi .
The Magnets performed five times at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and toured Europe in November and December 2010. In June 2011 they performed in Adelaide Australia as part of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival and then played in Melbourne, Sydney and Noosa.
