action

The states of the world community are engaged in a biological warfare that causes mutations in bacterial strains and ultimately causes an epidemic. The infected become undead with an insatiable need for human blood. The mysterious pathogen is transmitted to other people through bites and transforms the victims into so-called zombies within a very short time , which inexorably destroy large parts of the population. The only safe refuge for the few who are not infected are atomic shelters , which allow them to survive for years.

Ex-agent and bodyguard John Blake is commissioned by the doomed President to escort 50 selected people, including government employees, diplomats, politicians and ordinary people, to an underground bunker system in Guantánamo , Cuba . On the way to the top secret bunker facility, your ailing plane crashes for reasons that are not clear in the middle of a subtropical forest area. The survivors of the calamity, the first lady , her two children and Blake make their way through the wilderness on foot, while the bodyguard's wife and Ariel, another chosen one, fight for survival elsewhere. The remaining passengers are apparently dead, a transformation into bloodthirsty monsters is imminent.

Against this background, Blake leads the larger group with the first wife and children in the direction of safe accommodation when they are harassed and attacked by hordes of zombies. Despite considerable resistance, the president's son Gaberial and his mother are infected. A little later, the little Treasure disappears without a trace. The disturbed Blake, who did not manage to lead his wards safely to their destination, then finds his way through on his own and at some point comes across Ariel, who has since separated from the infected Amber, Blake's wife. The two get to the nuclear shelter together, where they are again harassed by the living dead. After these have been successfully liquidated, John and Ariel find a fully equipped bunker that is supplied by a nuclear power plant .

Six months later. The two survivors are trying to make contact with the outside world when a life-threatening incident occurs at the reactor that supplies the underground area with nuclear energy . At the risk of his life, Blake prevents a disaster of unimaginable proportions, but dies from the effects of the radioactive radiation . Ariel is completely alone now. In this oppressive situation, at the end of the film she receives an emergency call from a rescue team that approaches the bunker with the missing Treasure.

Reviews
