The Score is an American indie pop band formed in New York City in 2015. The group consists of Eddie Anthony (vocals, guitar), Chris Coombs (guitar), Logan Baldwin (drums) and Edan Dover (keyboard, producer). They were signed to Republic Records in 2015 after their song Oh My Love was featured in an advertising campaign for Asda supermarkets.

history

2015: Oh My Love

The Score gained recognition in early 2015 when British supermarket chain Asda (owned by Walmart ) used their track "Oh My Love" in a major ad campaign called "Save Money, Live Better". According to Asda, the reason they chose the song was because "they were unsigned and unknown".

The song's placement in advertising helped The Score rise to the top and Oh My Love reached number 43 on the UK singles chart in July 2015 . In the same year, the title became the most discovered song by the music identification service Shazam . The song also appeared in the 2015 movie Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip .

After the success of "Oh My Love", The Score signed a deal with Republic Records . In September 2015 they released their debut EP, Where Do You Run . One song from this EP, "On and On", was featured in the HBO spring program .

2016: Unstoppable

After The Score announced on social media that a new EP would be released, The Score officially released the single Unstoppable on September 23, 2016. The song was later featured in the movie Power Rangers . In 2017 was Unstoppable well as the theme song for the Main Event of the World Series of Poker used that live from 8 July on ESPN2 and poker Central was streamed. In 2018, the song was used in advertising campaigns for the Jeep Grand Cherokee . Unstoppable was also featured in a video produced by Dude Perfect called Water Bottle Flip Edition | Dude Perfect , which was released on July 18, 2016.

2017–2018: Myths & Legends , Atlas and Singles

The Score released an EP called Myths & Legends on April 14th, 2017 with the new songs "Higher" and "Miracle". On September 8th they released "Never Going Back" as the first single from their debut album Atlas , which was released on October 13th. As part of this album, songs such as "Shakedown", "Who I Am", "Strange", "Only One", "Believe" and "Tightrope" were released.

The song "Legend" was released as the soundtrack for NHL 18 on September 17, 2017.

In 2018 the band opened up for Echosmith to promote their Inside A Dream tour. In the fall of 2018 they should return on their revolution tour with special guests, The Orphan The Poet and Birthday.

On June 29, 2018, The Score released their single "Glory". Glory was also featured in a Dude Perfect video titled Model Rocket Battle 2 | Dude Perfect used.

The Score released the single "Stronger" on September 7th, 2018. According to their Twitter account, the song marks a new era for the band. The official music video for the song was released on YouTube on October 4, 2018.

On October 26th, 2018 The Score released another new single called "The Fear".

"Higher" was also featured on the Netflix original series Riverdale in the second season of episode 22.

2019: Pressure

On January 29, 2019, The Score announced that the single entitled Pressure would be released on February 1, 2019 . Including the songs: "Under The Pressure", "Born For This" and "Dreamin" with the American rapper , Blackbear . It also includes the earlier songs "The Fear", "Glory" and "Stronger". The single "Stay" was released on May 28, 2019.
