Thea Eymèsz

Thea Eymèsz (born May 23, 1936 - September 18, 2015 in Munich ) was a German film editor .

Life

Thea Eymèsz was best known through her collaboration with Rainer Werner Fassbinder . It was Peer Raben who, rather by chance, brought the young editor together with one of Fassbinder's first films. Among other things, she edited the films Fear Eats Soul , Fontane Effi Briest and The bitter tears of Petra von Kant .

In 2004 she was awarded the Film + Editing Prize for her life's work .
