Thea Schmidt-Keune

Thea Schmidt-Keune (born October 9, 1920 in Hanover , † March 17, 1993 in Potsdam ) was a German actress and singer .

Life

Little could be learned about Thea Schmidt-Keune's work. Her theater career took her to the Hans Otto Theater in Potsdam, the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin and the Meininger Theater, among others . In 1955 she played and sang the main role of Carlotta in Carl Millöcker's operetta Gasparone under conductor Carlos Kleiber in Potsdam . In 1961 she appeared in Schwerin in the opera Eugen Onegin by Peter Tschaikowsky based on the verse novel by Alexander Pushkin .

From the 1970s, Schmidt-Keune also worked for television. She was mostly seen in smaller roles, several times in the crime series Polizeiruf 110 . In some productions she stood in front of the camera together with her husband, professional colleague Victor Keune .
