Theo Gießelmann

Theo Gießelmann (born October 6, 1925 , † June 22, 1991 in Weinheim ) was a German administrative lawyer and local politician .

Gießelmann was the first state official at the Tauberbischofsheim district office and mayor of Lauda . After the accidental death of Rolf Engelbrecht , the non-party Gießelmann was elected Lord Mayor of Weinheim in 1965 with the support of the CDU and the PWV . He stayed in office until 1986. In the same year he was awarded the Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Federal Republic of Germany and made an honorary citizen of Weinheim. He also received the Hermann Heimerich plaque , the highest award of the Rhine-Neckar Region Association.
