Theo Michaely (born April 15, 1928 in Oberwesel ; † January 10, 2012 in Elz (Westerwald) ) was a Hessian politician ( CDU ) and a former member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

Theo Michaely attended the Catholic elementary school in Oberwesel and then the two-year municipal business school in Bingen am Rhein . Since April 1, 1944 he worked for the railroad. After further training (DGB federal schools (Wennigser Mark, Bremen, Bad Münster am Stein), Heimvolkshochschule (Adam-Steger-Waldhaus Königswinter), Academy of Labor in Frankfurt am Main), he became managing director and first representative of the union on December 1, 1954 of the railway workers of Germany (GdED) in Limburg an der Lahn . politics

Theo Michaely had been a member of the CDU since 1947 and was active there in various board positions. So he was CDU district chairman and district chairman Hessen-West. Since December 20, 1947 he was a member of the CDU state committee, the Junge Union and the Christian Democratic Workforce. From 1960 he was a member of the local council in Elz.

From February 1, 1968 to January 31, 1974 he was mayor of Elz , then of Diez an der Lahn.

From 1964 to 1972 he was a member of the Limburg an der Lahn district council, where he was spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group and temporarily chaired the main and finance committee. From December 1, 1966 to February 28, 1970 he was a member of the Hessian state parliament. There he belonged to the Economics and Transport Committee, the Civil Servants Committee and the State Personnel Commission.
