Theodorich von Konstanz (first mentioned in 1044; † June 22, 1051 ) was Bishop of Konstanz from 1047 to 1051 .

Theoderich von Konstanz's date of birth is just as unknown as his family origins. It is mentioned for the first time in 1044. Theodoric was educated at the Constance Cathedral School and initially belonged to the Constance Cathedral Chapter before he came to Worms . There he became canon and provost of St. Andrew .

1044 he was by King Heinrich III. Appointed arch chaplain , headed the court orchestra and was chancellor of the royal chancellery until 1046. In January 1047 he was by Heinrich III. appointed bishop in Rome and attended the canonization of the martyr and cleric Wiborada , who was martyred in 926 during an invasion of Hungary.

On April 24, 1048, on the eve of St. Mark's Festival, Theodoric inaugurated the Basilica of St. Mark, newly built by Abbot Bern as a transept in the western part of the Abbey Church of the Reichenau Monastery , on the instructions and in the presence of Heinrich III . In October 1049 he also took part in the Pope Leo IX. and Emperor Heinrich III. convened Mainz Synod .

Theoderich died on June 22nd, 1051 and found his final resting place in St. Stephen's Church in Konstanz, with which he felt particularly connected and which he had also richly endowed.
