Theodor Bohdanowicz

Theodor Bohdanowicz (born November 9, 1925 , † 1977 ) was an Austrian painter .

Life

Bohdanowicz attended grammar school in Linz from 1935 to 1943 and immediately afterwards had to do work and military service, which led him to Croatia and Italy , where he was taken prisoner of war .

After his return he began his studies at the Art Academy in Vienna and at the Art School of the City of Linz with Herbert Dimmel (1947 to 1951).

Until 1961 he was active in the graphic trade, where brightly colored, clearly structured still lifes and landscapes were created. In 1961 he continued his studies at the Vienna Art Academy and obtained a diploma in conservation and technology .

During this creative period, murals were made using sgraffito technology in Ansfelden , Wels , Gallneukirchen and Walding . Pictures are in the possession of the Upper Austrian State Museums , the City of Linz and are privately owned.

Exhibitions

Watercolors, pencil drawings and prints were shown in the Hofkabinett on the occasion of a joint exhibition with works by Erich Ruprecht in 2009.
