Theodor Pingen

Johann Karl Theodor Pingen (born October 11, 1841 in Widdersdorf , † November 11, 1927 in Bonn ) was a landowner and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Pingen attended elementary school in Widdersdorf and the Catholic high school in Cologne until 1857. He learned farming on his parents' farm, was a soldier from 1861 to 1862 and in 1866 took part in the war against Austria . Since 1875 he managed his own Dikopshof estate . He was also director of the Brühl sugar factory .

He was also a member of the district council and district committee since 1888, as well as a member of the provincial parliament from 1890 to 1903. From 1894 to 1903 and again from 1907 to 1908 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives and from 1893 to 1907 of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Cologne District 2 Cologne-Land and the German Center Party .
