Theodor Reuter (architect)

Theodor Reuter (born March 9, 1837 in Vienna ; † February 1, 1902 Baden (Lower Austria) ) was an Austrian architect and construction clerk , according to whose designs several churches were built.

Career

Theodor Reuter was a student of Friedrich von Schmidt and in 1894 became a member of the Vienna building deputation as a building officer. As construction director of the Austrian Society for Health Resorts , he was in charge of work on the health resort buildings in Upper Austria , Bohemia and South Tyrol . In collaboration with Alexander Wielemans , Reuter designed large public buildings such as the Graz City Hall or the Neuottakringer Church of the Holy Family , one of the largest churches in Vienna.

From 1869 to 1872, Reuter was the chief engineer in the Central Office for Structural Engineering of the Austrian Northwest Railway, the construction manager for the construction of the Northwest Railway Station , which had been planned by Wilhelm Bäumer from Stuttgart.
