Wilhelm Sophonias Bäumer
Wilhelm Sophonias Bäumer (born April 18, 1829 in Ravensburg , † November 4, 1895 in Strasbourg ) was a German architect and building historian .
Life
Bäumer studied at the Polytechnic School in Stuttgart and was one of the founders of the Corps Stauffia in 1847 . In 1854 he completed training at the Paris École des Beaux-Arts . From 1858 to 1869 he was a teacher of building forms and building history at the Stuttgart Polytechnic. From 1863 he gave the commercial hall with the Stuttgart draftsman Julius Schnorr . Organ for advancement in all branches of the art industry . From 1869 to 1874 he lived in Vienna. In 1874 he became head of the building trade school in Stuttgart . This was followed by the establishment of a commercial advanced training school in Freiersbach i. B. From 1884 Bäumer was a drawing teacher and private lecturer at the University of Strasbourg .
