Theodora Princess of Greece and Denmark (born May 30, 1906 in Athens , † October 16, 1969 in Constance ) was a member of the House of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg .

Life

Theodora was the second daughter of five children of Prince Andreas of Greece and Denmark (1882-1944) and his wife Princess Alice von Battenberg (1885-1969). She was thus a sister of the British Prince Consort Philip Mountbatten, Duke of Edinburgh , aunt of Charles, Prince of Wales , and the paternal granddaughter of King George I of Greece and Grand Duchess Olga Konstantinovna Romanova , a niece of Tsar Alexander II , and on the maternal side of Prince Ludwig von Battenberg (later Louis Mountbatten) and Princess Viktoria of Hessen-Darmstadt , who was a granddaughter of Queen Victoria .
