Theodore von Rommel

Theodore von Rommel (born May 31, 1870 in Mainz , † December 2, 1950 in Tutzing ; birth name: Theodore Wilhelmine Christiane Kirsch ) was a German writer . She also published under the pseudonyms J. v. Goldmar, Jan von Goldmar, Jon v. Goldmar, Manas, Th. Von Rom, Thé von Rom, Thea von Rommel, Theodor Rommel, Theodor von Rommel and Romulus.

Life

Theodore von Rommel was the daughter of the medical advisor Eduard Kirsch. She attended school in Leipzig and then spent two years at a boarding school in Neuenhain . From 1888 she made literary contributions to newspapers and magazines. In 1893 she married a noble officer; the couple changed their place of residence several times and kept u. a. in Aachen , Dieuze / Lorraine and in the Silesian Glatz . After the Second World War , Theodore von Rommel lived in Tutzing on Lake Starnberg .

Theodore von Rommel's literary work consists of novels, short stories, poems, plays and children's books.
