Therese Bichsel

Therese Bichsel (born February 17, 1956 in Hasle near Burgdorf in the canton of Bern ) is a Swiss journalist and writer .

Life

Therese Bichsel studied German and English at the University of Bern . She worked as a journalist for ten years (until 1995), since then as an editor and author. She lives with her family in Unterseen . Her books are published by Zytglogge Verlag . So far, eight - some historical - novels and a portrait volume have been published.

She is a member of the Swiss Writers' Association (AdS). In 1996 she won first prize at the Bern Short Stories Competition.
