Therese Danner , b. Therese Brunner (born August 18, 1861 in Oberndorf, Pilsting , † June 11, 1934 in Munich ), was a German patron of the arts and founder of the Danner Foundation .

Life

Mainly at the suggestion of Karl Rothmüller (1860–1930), a royal Bavarian court goldsmith and main representative of the then flourishing Munich jewelery art , she founded the Benno and Therese Danner'sche Kunstgewerbestiftung on June 9, 1920 in memory of her husband , which gained increasing importance in the arts and crafts and is known today primarily as the Danner Foundation . The original capital of the foundation comprised the considerable sum of 1.7 million marks in the form of securities , mortgages (rights to third-party real estate) and land . In the first few years of the foundation, Therese Danner was still actively involved in the foundation's activities.
