The Thingdawl Te Tlang (also: Thingdawlte Tlang ) is a mountain in Bangladesh .

The mountain is located in southeast Bangladesh in the Upazila Belaichori in the south of the Rangamati district , which belongs to the Chittagong Hill Tracts of the Chittagong Division, in the Mizo Hills, a range of hills that forms a southern foothill of the Himalayas , about three kilometers west of the border with Myanmar .

The next inhabited settlement is the mountain village of Thingdawl Te Para , about two kilometers west of the summit at an altitude of 699 meters , after which the mountain is named.

height

The height of Thingdawl Te Tlang was determined as part of an excursion by BD Explorer in December 2012. The altitude measured with GPS was 3,149 feet (959 meters). On another expedition several days later, the altitude was measured to be 3,133 feet (955 meters). ACME Mapper states the height of the mountain as 944 meters. This makes the Thingdawl Te Tlang one of the ten highest peaks in Bangladesh .

The closest mountain, which is higher than Thingdawl Te Tlang, is Mukhra Thuthai Haphong ( 954  m ), eight kilometers to the north . Keokradong ( 980  m ), located about nine kilometers to the north, is also higher than Thingdawl Te Tlang, while Capital Hill ( 933  m ) seven kilometers to the west and Kreikung Taung ( 925  m ) two kilometers to the north are slightly lower.
