Thomas Blenke

Thomas Blenke (* 17th April 1960 in Ludwigshafen ) is a Baden-Wuerttemberg politicians of CDU and member of the state parliament of Baden-Wuerttemberg .

education and profession

After primary school in Gechingen and attending the Hermann-Hesse-Gymnasium in Calw , he switched to the commercial high school in Calw, where he graduated from high school. After an apprenticeship at Deutsche Bank in Stuttgart , he studied law at the Eberhard-Karls-University in Tübingen . After the assessor exam, he worked from 1991 to 1993 at the Tübingen regional council and from 1993 to 1995 at the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Transport. From 1995 to 2001 he was parliamentary advisor to the CDU parliamentary group in the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg.

Political activity

Thomas Blenke has been a member of the CDU since 1978. From 1984 to 1991 he was a member of the local council in his home town of Gechingen. Since 1995 he has been chairman of the CDU district association in Calw. He is also a member of the district board of the CDU North Baden, and deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group in the district council of the Calw district . Since 2004 he has been a member of the community council in Gechingen again. He was elected deputy mayor there after the local elections in 2004 and 2009.

Since April 17, 2001 he has been a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg. There he exercised the following functions, among others:
