Thomas Dabre (born October 23, 1945 in Bhuigaon ) is Bishop of Poona .

Life

Thomas Dabre was ordained a priest on October 31, 1971 . On April 2, 1990, John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Arae in Numidia and auxiliary bishop in Bombay .

The Archbishop of Bombay , Simon Ignatius Cardinal Pimenta , donated him episcopal ordination on May 27 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were Longinus Gabriel Pereira , auxiliary bishop emeritus in Bombay, and Ferdinand Joseph Fonseca , auxiliary bishop in Bombay.

On May 22, 1998, he was appointed Bishop of Vasai . Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Poona on April 4, 2009 .
