Thomas Dickert

Thomas Dickert (born October 23, 1958 in Regensburg ) is a German lawyer and has been President of the Nuremberg Higher Regional Court since 2018 .

Life

After graduating from high school in Deggendorf , Dickert studied law at the University of Regensburg . He also completed his legal clerkship in Regensburg and from 1987 was an academic advisor at the Chair of Tax Law . In 1990 he was with the work of science and freedom of research doctorate .

Dickert joined the Bavarian judicial service in 1990 and initially worked in the criminal law department of the Bavarian State Ministry of Justice . From 1992 he was employed as a public prosecutor at the Ingolstadt public prosecutor's office and as a judge at the Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm district court . In 1994 he was reappointed to the Ministry of Justice, where he worked in the HR department until 1998. After that he was a member of a civil senate at the Munich Higher Regional Court for one year . In 1999 he returned to the Ministry of Justice's personnel department as a ministerial advisor. From 2006 to 2008 he was President of the Ingolstadt Regional Court , but then returned to the State Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection to initially head the “Consumer Protection and Policy Issues” department. In 2011 he then took over the management of the “Budget and Construction, Organization, IT, Business Statistics” department. With effect from April 1, 2018, he was appointed President of the Nuremberg Higher Regional Court.
