Thomas Friedrich Schneider

Thomas Friedrich Schneider (born November 18, 1961 in Aalen ) is a German diplomat and ambassador in Muscat , Oman .

Life

After graduating from college in 1981, he studied law in Würzburg from 1982 to 1988 , received the 1st state examination in 1989 , completed the legal preparatory service from 1989 to 1991 and received the 2nd state examination in 1991.

From 1991 to 1992 Schneider worked as a consultant in the Saxon State Ministry of the Interior and then entered the preparatory service in the higher foreign service . From 1993 to 1994 he worked at the Foreign Office in Bonn and then from 1994 to 1996 as a consultant at the embassy in Damascus .

Then he acted to 1999 as Permanent Representation to the euro Europe in Strasbourg as a speaker and subsequently to 2002 the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin .

After working as a consultant at the embassy in Riyadh from 2002 to 2006, Schneider was deputy head of department at the Foreign Office in Berlin until 2010 .

After as head of legal and consular section in which he 2010-2014 four years embassy in London worked, acted Schneider 2014-2017 again in the Foreign Office in Berlin as Head of Unit .

Thomas Friedrich Schneider has been working as ambassador in Muscat , Oman, since August 2017 .
