Thomas Gilica (born August 19, 1959 ) is a former German soccer player and soccer coach. He was part of the SV Arminia Hannover squad in the 1980/81 Bundesliga season .

Career

player

In July 1980 he moved from the second team of SV Arminia Hannover to the first and played there in the only season so far in the 2nd Bundesliga in a few games. Among other things, he was in the starting line-up in the historic 11-0 defeat by Arminia Bielefeld , but was substituted in the 30th minute by Vitomir Rogoznica . He then continued to play for Arminia until 1991, but was also part of the Holstein Kiel squad from time to time. For example in the first round of the 1983/84 DFB-Pokal season . The game was lost 2-1 against Bayer 05 Uerdingen . On September 23, 1989 he was in the 2nd round of the DFB Cup again in Arminia Hannover's squad. In the game against 1. FC Köln, he even scored a goal. Nevertheless, the game was lost 2: 4. From 1991 to 1992 he was still active at TuS Celle FC .
