Thomas Hörner (born October 16, 1966 in Bamberg ) is a German entrepreneur , author , speaker and lecturer .

Life

Hörner grew up in Bamberg and attended the Hainschule and the Clavius-Gymnasium there . After completing his military service, he studied electrical engineering at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg and the Technical University of Munich with a focus on solar and energy-saving technology.

In 1991, during his studies, he founded the company MagList , which offered Internet programming . From 1999 to 2001 he headed epress AG. From 2001 he ran MagList again as an internet agency and ceased operations on January 31, 2014.

Hörner has been a consultant, author, speaker and lecturer since 2001.

Hörner lives in Bamberg.

Activity as an author

Hörner published Marketing in the Internet in 2006 with the publishing house CH Beck and in 2009 texts for the Internet in the same publishing house (2nd edition 2013). From 2008 to 2012 he published the specialist publication eBriefing , from which the eBriefing publishing house for e-commerce and online marketing emerged in 2011 . Marketing with voice assistants was published by Springer Gabler Verlag in 2019 . He also published z. B. in the magazine Website Boosting , in w & v media , the Handelsblatt supplement Web-Business, in Fischer's archive, ONEtoONE or webselling .

Volunteering

In 1995 Hörner was a co-founder of "Menschen in Not", which is today the central homeless initiative in Bamberg.

Hörner has been a member of the DPSG since 1977 and was the national team in 1998 for its annual campaign.

In 2010 he was a co-founder of the association BeratungDigital e. V. , of which he was an honorary director until 2014.
