Thomas Haller (church musician)

Thomas Haller (* 1966 in Nagold ) is a German cantor , organist , choir director , organ expert and church music director .

Career

Haller grew up in Bartholomä and studied Protestant church music at the Hanover Music Academy , the North German Organ Academy Bunde and the Stuttgart Music Academy . The main teachers were Ludger Lohmann in the subject organ and Dieter Kurz in the field of choral conducting. In 1995 Haller completed his studies with the church music A-exam .

In the same year he became district cantor in Schwäbisch Gmünd , and since 1996 he has been district cantor for the Evangelical church district of Aalen at the city ​​church of Aalen . At the same time he holds the office of organ expert for the Evangelical Church in Württemberg . In 2004 he was appointed church music director by regional bishop Gerhard Maier .

As a concert organist, Haller is a duo partner to renowned instrumental and vocal soloists.
