Ludger Lohmann

Ludger Lohmann (* 1954 in Herne ) is a German organist and professor.

Lohmann studied church music and school music at the Cologne University of Music . He also studied musicology , philosophy and geography at the University of Cologne . He received his doctorate in 1981 with a dissertation on articulation on keyboard instruments. The dissertation received a lot of attention in the professional world. However, some central statements were the subject of professional criticism, especially by the musicologist Hans Klotz .

After a teaching position at the Cologne University of Music, he was appointed professor at the Stuttgart University of Music . There he is also organist at the St. Eberhard Cathedral .
