Thomas Herrmann (Commentator)

Thomas Herrmann (* 15. February 1955 ) is a German football - commentator and journalist .

Career

Herrmann began his career in 1982 in the sports department of ZDF , for which he reported on the Olympic Winter Games in 1988 and 1992 and the Four Hills Tournament in 1991/92 . In 1992 he switched to Sat.1 , where he commented on Bundesliga games for the program ran .

Ten years later he switched to DSF , where he was in charge of football and news. As chief reporter, he commented on the Sunday games of the two highest German divisions. Since the name was changed to Sport1 , Herrmann has been commenting on the Monday games of the second division and international football, among other things . From the founding of the now discontinued LIGA total! Herrmann commented there too. Herrmann was a commentator on the soccer simulation FIFA 06 .

Herrmann caused a scandal when he verbally attacked a group of BVB fans in Fantalk on November 20, 2012 . This was preceded by cheers from the fans on the occasion of the opening goal of FC Valencia against FC Bayern Munich in the Champions League group stage . Herrmann is an avowed fan of TSV 1860 Munich and a Bayern sympathizer .
