Thomas Hunter (actor)
Thomas Hunter (born December 19, 1932 in Savannah , Georgia - † December 27, 2017 in Norwalk , Connecticut ) was an American actor and author.
Life
Hunter took acting classes in New York City , a. a. with Uta Hagen and Wynn Handman . After working as a model and for commercials, his friend, the singer Johnny Mercer , got him a role in the 1965 film What Did You Do in the War, Daddy? . A chance meeting with Dino De Laurentiis led to appearances in Europe, mostly for Italian-produced genre films, to which he remained loyal until 1976. He also led a drama group in Rome that played in the vault of a church.
Returning to the United States in the mid-1970s, Hunter devoted himself to writing plays and occasionally screenplays, such as for The Last Countdown from 1980. He lived in Rhode Island .
