Thomas Lauck (born May 15, 1943 in Strasbourg ) is a composer . Thomas Lauck lives in Lörrach .

Life

From 1963 to 1968 he studied medicine in Freiburg i. Br., He was also a guest student at the Freiburg State University of Music . This was followed by composition studies with Klaus Huber in Basel, courses in live electronics in the experimental studio of the Heinrich Strobel Foundation in Freiburg ( Hans Peter Haller ), and composition courses with Dieter Schnebel , Kazimierz Serocki and Mauricio Kagel at the Music Academy of the City of Basel .

His works were awarded prizes at the International Gaudeamus Music Week in Bilthoven, Amsterdam , and at the International Composition Competition in Hitzacker (Elbe) . His catalog raisonné includes vocal and chamber music , scenic music, an orchestral work and works with live electronics.

His works have been performed in Europe, the United States and Asia (particularly Japan) in concerts at major festivals and also on the radio.
