Thomas Lindemann (* 1972 in Hamburg ) is a German author , editor and musician. Together with his wife Julia Heilmann , he wrote the bestsellers Kinderkacke und Quengelzone .

Life

Thomas Lindemann successfully completed a psychology degree at the University of Hamburg . He then worked as a freelance journalist and wrote for various magazines and periodicals such as Jetzt , Stern and the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung . From 2006 to 2011 he was the features editor of the national daily newspaper Die Welt . In this role he was one of the first journalists to write about computer games in the classic feature section of a newspaper. 2010, co-written with Julia Heimann book appeared chickenshit which for months in the mirror - bestseller list stood. In this and the following books, the two authors describe their lives with children in a humorous way. In each case not without critical undertones that this not only offers beautiful things, the relationship is burdened by it and also that many of today's consumer offers specially geared to children are unnecessary at best. In 2016 he published a volume with reports about Berlin-Neukölln, in which he examines the image of this district as a “problem neighborhood” and accompanies various personalities, including social workers, artists, a karate trainer, but also a Salafist etc.

Lindemann lives with his wife and three children in Berlin-Neukölln . He plays keyboard in the Berlin band Leather Report .
