Thomas Mütze (born June 26, 1966 in Würzburg ) is a former Bavarian member of the state parliament for Alliance 90 / The Greens .

Life

education and profession

In 1985 he graduated from high school. From 1985 to 1987 he did his community service at the Red Cross Main-Spessart . He then completed his teaching degree from 1987 to 1992 at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen . From 1992 to 1994 I completed my legal clerkship in Dieburg / Hessen . From 1994 to 2003 he was in school in Aschaffenburg . He has three children.

Political career

He has been a member of the Greens since 1983. In 1994 he took over the office of district board spokesman KV Aschaffenburg-Land.

Public offices

He has been a member of the state parliament since 2003 and is a member of the Committee on Economy, Transport and Infrastructure . In the 15th legislative period he was a member of the Committee on State Budget and Financial Issues , as well as the Committee on Public Service Issues and represented the Green Group in the Study Commission Young Being in Bavaria - Future Prospects for Coming Generations . In the state elections in 2008 he was re-elected to the state parliament for the district of Aschaffenburg-West via the district list of Lower Franconia .

On June 16, 2010 Thomas Mütze succeeded Sepp Daxenberger († 2010) as chairman of the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen parliamentary group in the Bavarian state parliament . On February 9, 2011, he was replaced in this position by Martin Runge . In March 2016, he was re-elected together with Rosi Steinberger as spokesman for the Ecology and Economy working group of the green parliamentary group.

For the state election in 2018, he no longer stood for election and thus left the state parliament.

He was also a member of the Aschaffenburg city ​​council from 1996 to 2010 .
