Thomas Metz (born September 4, 1968 in Bensheim ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and State Secretary in Hesse .

biography

After attending school, Thomas Metz studied law at the University of Mannheim from 1988 to 1993 and passed the second state examination in 1996. From 1997 to 2000 he was in the service of the Darmstadt Regional Council and was then an administrative judge until 2002 . From 2002 to 2005 he was seconded to the Hessian State Chancellery . He then held judicial posts in social justice from 2005 to 2007 . From 2007 to 2014 he was first alderman in the Bergstrasse district , and since 2014 as State Secretary in the Hessian Ministry of Justice in the cabinet of Volker Bouffier .

politics

Metz was, at times as district chairman, a member of the Junge Union and held various party offices in the CDU. Metz was a member of the city ​​council in Lorsch from 1989 to 1997 and again from 2006 to 2007.
