Thomas von Hauck

Thomas Hauck , since 1887 Knight von Hauck (born April 27, 1823 in Rüsselsheim , † September 27, 1905 in Munich ), was a lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

During his studies in 1841 he became a member of the Germania Würzburg fraternity .

Hauck was the Bavarian district administrator in Markt Scheinfeld ( Middle Franconia ) and from 1879 senior public prosecutor at the Royal Administrative Court in Munich.

He was a member of the Bavarian state parliament from 1869 to 1881 and from 1887 to 1892. From 1871 to 1879 he was a member of the German Reichstag, where he was a member of the central parliamentary group as a member of the constituency of Lower Franconia 1 ( Aschaffenburg ) . Because of his promotion to senior public prosecutor, he resigned his mandate on December 13, 1879.

In recognition of his services, Hauck was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Bavarian Crown by Prince Regent Luitpold in 1887 . The award was connected with the elevation to the personal nobility and he was allowed to call himself Ritter von Hauck after his entry in the nobility register . In 1893 he received the Order of Merit from St. Michael II Class.
