Thomas Roch Agniswami SJ (born March 26, 1891 in Trichinopoly , Tamil Nadu , British India ; † May 7, 1974 ) was Bishop of Kottar .

Life

Thomas Roch Agniswami joined the Congregation of the Jesuits in and received on 25 November 1923, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On January 5, 1939, Pope Pius XI appointed him . to the bishop of Kottar. Pope Pius XII donated him episcopal ordination on October 29 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the secretary of the Congregation for the Dissemination of the Faith , Archbishop Celso Costantini , and the Vicar Apostolic of Uganda , Henri Streicher MAfr .

He participated in all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council as a council father.

On November 23, 1970, Pope Paul VI. Thomas Roch Agniswami's application for resignation due to reasons of age.
