Motorsport

After his active racing driver -Career ( touring cars of the group A ) Thomas Sandmann was motor racing team boss and owner of his own racing team. His successes include championship titles and overall victories in various one-make cups and endurance racing series. In the motorsport sector, Sandmann works with many partners and sponsors.

Sandmann's master orange motorsport division builds racing touring cars that are used in various racing series. His Orange Green Racing Team achieved 2nd place in 2009 and 3rd place in the team ranking of the BMW DE Challenge in 2010. In the 2011 season, a Master Orange BMW achieved first place in the overall ranking. With the overall victory, Sandmann ended his active participation in this team.

The master orange group was a media partner and sponsor of the RCN motorsport series from 2009 to 2012 .

One of motorsport master orange -powered Porsche racing car equipped with a passenger seat, was in 2012 the official Racetaxi the DMV . This vehicle is driven by Sandmann himself. Every year at the Essen Motor Show, he raffles rides on various racetracks in Europe. Since 2010 he has donated the entire proceeds to a good cause, since 2014 the DMV Race Taxi has been driving for the "Eyesight in Cambodia" campaign and finances a complete eye operation with every single ride. Since 2018, Sandmann has been driving on specially organized Race Taxi Days in cooperation with diaconal institutions with mentally ill and mentally handicapped passengers. A therapeutic success of these actions has been attested by several psychologists.

Together with the STT racing series , Sandmann has been driving his Race Taxi since 2015 as part of the ADAC GT Masters supporting program .

In 2016, Sandmann presented its Race Shuttle , a VW Touran equipped with four racing seats and racing car technology, especially for use on the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring race track . With this he shows interested parties and aspiring racing drivers the characteristics of the racetrack with which he has a lot in common. The trips are coordinated by the Grüne Hölle fan shop , where Sandmann can also be found in person at major events during autograph sessions.

With its own sponsorship program, Sandmann is committed to the youngsters in motorsport, supports a student team in Formula Student and produced a German karting champion (Rotax Max) in the 2013 season.

For marketing and media presence, Sandmann maintains other company areas such as its own video and music production, a press department and an agency for the placement of fair hostesses and grid girls . On the one hand, these arose from demand, and on the other, they were integrated into today's group of companies from earlier independent areas.

music

In several specialist journals, Thomas Sandmann is ranked among the top international audio engineers. He is considered a pioneer of digital studio technology and a pioneer of high-resolution audio formats. The texts he wrote on this topic in the late 1980s were long considered the only ones in German-speaking countries. Manufacturers of high-resolution digital audio systems still use them today almost unchanged in their product descriptions.

Sandmann's productions range from classical to rock. Hip-hop, heavy metal and hit productions were mixed in Sandmann's studios. Sandmann also gives interviews, lectures and workshops on his work. Since he started music production at a very young age, his experience ranges from the beginnings of multi-track technology to current developments. A major technical effort to achieve the highest possible quality is characteristic of his audio productions. Sandmann works with a large number of partners, external pre-production studios, licensees of the audio processes he has developed or affiliated publishers and record labels. Sandmann's projects have already led to further partnerships between the industrial companies involved on several occasions.

According to experts, Sandmann's greatest success is not a single work, but the large number of club hits from the early techno scene in Germany. In the early 1990s, Sandmann mainly produced this music, which he also composed himself. He is regarded as a pioneer of the music genre in Germany and with sound banks for synthesizers gave many other techno producers the tools they needed. For this part of his life he was included in the exhibition of the Gronauer rock'n'pop museum in 2009 .

Today Thomas Sandmann only rarely produces music for independent publications, but mainly for combined use with his other company areas. In the last few years his music can be found in his own video productions as well as mainly in the motorsport sector. For example, Sandmann produced the official title track for the Essen Motor Show . The piece of music Schumania in honor of Michael Schumacher was mixed in the studios of the master orange group.

Video

The music videos produced by Sandmann often do without elaborate and expensive settings or special effects and rather emphasize image quality, the course of the plot and the arc of suspense. His videos for Jürgen Drews , Die Schröders and Rage are considered the most cost-effective productions in the entire industry.

Sandmann is also an advocate of the democratization of the means of production movement , wrote a book on the subject and advises the industry so that the limiting factor is no longer in the budget, but only in the creativity of video makers.

Today, Sandmann's studios mainly feature TV reports on motorsport, and film recordings of racing cars also appear in his music videos.
