Thomas de la Hoz
Thomas de la Hoz (born January 5, 1879 in Velilla de Guardo , † January 6, 1949 in Taiwan ) was a Spanish Dominican , priest and Apostolic Prefect or Apostolic Administrator of the Roman Catholic Church in Taiwan and Japan .
Life
De la Hoz entered the Dominican Order at the age of 15 and was ordained a priest in 1903. 1921 appointed him Holy See to the prefect of the island of Formosa (Taiwan) , which was then under Japanese rule was. From 1932 de la Hoz also held the office of Apostolic Administrator of Shikoku . De la Hoz retired in 1941 and lived in Taiwan until his death in 1949.
