Thorsten Dahl

Thorsten Dahl (born March 21, 1965 in Schleswig ) is a German politician without a party and was mayor of the city of Schleswig from 2002 to 2014.

Life

Dahl attended the Strande elementary school near Kiel from 1971 to 1975 , the Kiel School of Academics from 1975 to 1979 and the Schleswig Cathedral School from 1979 to 1984 . On the latter he graduated from high school in 1984 . From July 1984 to June 1987 Dahl served with the 3rd RakArtBtl 650 Flensburg-Weiche as a correspondence officer. His last active rank was that of a staff sergeant . He later became a sergeant in the reserve.

In addition, Dahl completed vocational training as a data processing clerk at the German Employees Academy, which he completed in June 1987. From August 1987 to July 1990 he was a trainee city inspector with the city of Schleswig and completed this training with a degree in administrative management (FH). Dahl was now active in various posts in the administration of the city of Schleswig. Only from August 1990 in the property department, then from May 1992 in the main office, from September 1994 in the auditing office and finally again in the main office from March 1997 to June 2000. From January 19, 2002 to January 17, 2014 he was mayor of Schleswig. After leaving office in 2014, he worked as an insurance advisor at Debeka . Since the end of 2015, Dahl has been an executive officer at the komba union Schleswig-Holstein .

Dahl has been married for the second time since December 2014. He has two daughters from his first marriage.
