Thorsten Heidel (* 1967 in Bad Hersfeld ) is a German actor .

Life

Heidel received his acting training from Heidi Wallier, Reiner Beck and Erika Dannhoff . In 1992 he passed his stage entrance examination. He had previously worked in several film and television productions. He then worked mainly as a theater actor. Immediately after completing his training, he was engaged by Einar Schleef in 1993 for his Faust production Faust in the Sextet at the Schillertheater Berlin . From 1994 to 2002 he was a permanent member of the Berliner Ensemble . From 1997 he also belonged to the ensemble of the Vienna Burgtheater and commuted between Berlin and Vienna for almost eight years .

His stage roles in Berlin included a. Marquis de Valmont in Quartet (1994; director: Heiner Müller), Matti in Herr Puntila und seine Knecht Matti (1995; director: Einar Schleef), Senkpiel in Heiner Müller's Die Umsiedlerin (1996; director: BK Tragelehn ), patient / Lavoisier in The persecution and murder of Jean Paul Marat (2000; director: Philipp Tiedemann ) and Laios / Teiresias in Oedipus (premiere: 2001/02 season; director: George Tabori ). At the Burgtheater he was one of the first cast of Elfriede Jelinek's Ein Sportstück (premiere: 1997/98 season; director: Einar Schleef); He also played Ferdinando in Schleef's Goldoni adaptation Wilder Sommer (premiere: 1998/99 season) and worked with Claus Peymann as director on Peter Handke's Die Fahrt im Einbaum or the play about the movie from war (premiere: June 1999) .

Heidel then worked as a freelance actor. In the following years he had theater engagements a. a. at the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz (2004), at the Handel Festival (2005 and 2006), at the Thalia Theater Halle (2006; as Karl Moor in Die Räuber , directed by Annegret Hahn ), at the Bonn Opera (2007 ) and at the State Opera Unter den Linden (2008).

In 2009 he was a guest as the scribe Licht in Kleist's Der zerbrochne Krug at the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater in Hamburg . In 2010 he took on the role of the narrator in Jean Paul's The Speech of the Dead Christ at a performance in Berlin's Gethsemane Church . In 2015 he was a guest at the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen .

In addition to his theater work, which is his artistic focus, Heidel also took on some film and television roles. In August / September 1992, he was in episodes 71-77 as Rolf Breitner in a recurring supporting role in the RTL series Gute Zeiten, Zeiten .
