Thorsten Schatz (born December 22, 1968 in Bad Harzburg ) is a German journalist and author .

Life

During his studies of literature and history, Schatz dealt extensively with youth cultures and their music. He lectured on this subject and a. at the Media Generations Symposium at the University of Hamburg and in the Historical Museum Hanover.

In the late 1990s, Schatz turned to journalism and now writes articles for kult! , the Jazz Podium , tonart (music magazine in Deutsches Ärzteblatt ), the plus magazine , The German Times and various other media. There are also books on cultural phenomena such as Star Wars ( Star Wars in 60 minutes ) or The Lord of the Rings ( Tolkien in 60 minutes ) and many biographies by artists from the pop world .
