Thoughts Paint the Sky was an experimental post-hardcore - / Screamo - music group from food . The band called their music "Acoustic Screamo".

history

Thoughts Paint the Sky was founded in 2005 in Essen. Accompanied by constant line-up and style changes, the band released three EPs and three albums over the years. Regarding the many line-up changes, it should be noted that Daniel, as the front man, was also the only remaining founding member in the band's history, although in 2007 he even made a few appearances alone, only with his acoustic guitar. The band has completed five tours (including with Longing For Tomorrow , Ashes of Pompeii and City Light Thief ) across Germany.

In 2009 the album Here plays the music on Ape Must Not Kill Ape Records and Unpopular Disclose Records, 2011 her last album Not even we ourselves on Midsummer Records .

Successes in the band's history include support appearances for Anberlin , Horse the Band , The Casting Out , Callejon , Ignite , Born from Pain , Eternal Tango and Amanda Rogers .

In 2012 the band announced their breakup. Daniel Senzek then worked for the two post-hardcore bands Kosslowski (vocals and drums) and Nora Yeux (guitar and background vocals , together with drummer Florian Uteschil).

style

A dominant part of the band's sound is the more aggressive use of acoustic guitars. This is why the band's style is often referred to as "Acoustic Screamo". It can be seen that clear elements can be assigned to the more classic screamo and emotional hardcore . This includes the more complex song structures (without the usual structure pattern), with quiet, trodden-looking parts, spoken lines of text and more explosive parts with screaming moments.

In addition, there are also stronger influences from alternative rock and post-hardcore in individual, current pieces . More catchy songs with a more classical structure of verse and chorus as well as singalongs refer to this.
