The Three Rivers Capital Pittsburgh Open 2017 took place February 2-5, 2017 in Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania , United States . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2016/17 and belonged to the PSA 25 category .

The winner of the last competition in 2015 was Karim Abdel Gawad , who this year took part in the parallel tournament in Linköping . The winner was the top seeded Zahed Mohamed , who prevailed in the final against Ivan Yuen with 12:10, 11: 9, 7:11 and 11: 7.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 16 players, four of which were starting places for qualifiers. Per Wildcard received Andrew Douglas a starting spot in the main draw.

Prize money and world ranking points

At the tournament, the following prize money and world ranking points were paid out or credited for reaching the respective round. Players who entered the main field from qualification received the specified qualification points in addition to those for reaching the respective round. Otherwise the amounts are not to be understood as cumulative. The total prize money was $ 25,000.
