Tiberius Fundel

Tiberius Fundel (* 19th July 1897 in Neuburg ; † 11. March 1982 in Hayingen ) was a German politician of the CDU .

Life

Tiberius Fundel took part in the First World War as a soldier . In 1919 he became managing director of the grain mill in Indelhausen, which is now part of Hayingen, and passed the master miller examination in 1920. In 1937 he led the rebuilding of the mill.

Fundel was one of the founders of the CDU in Württemberg-Hohenzollern in 1946 . From 1952 to 1968 he was a member of the state constituent assembly and the Baden-Württemberg state parliament .

honors and awards

In 1967 he was awarded the Great Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. In 1979 he received the Baden-Württemberg Medal of Merit .

The Tiberius-Fundel-Weg in Hayingen is named after him. In popular parlance, he carried the titles of König vom Lautertal and de Bere .

Family and private

His son Georg Fundel was division manager at the Landesgirokasse Stuttgart and was managing director of Flughafen Stuttgart GmbH .
