The Tidewater Sharks were an American ice hockey franchise of the Southern Hockey League based in Norfolk , Virginia .

The Tidewater Sharks were added to the 1975/76 season as an expansion team in the Southern Hockey League . The team finished fifth and second in their only two seasons, after which the game was discontinued. The Sharks' only two coaches were John Hanna and Harold Schooley .
