The Macon Whoopees were an American ice hockey franchise of the Southern Hockey League based in Macon , Georgia .
history
The Macon Whoopees took on the 1973/74 season as one of six founding members to play in the Southern Hockey League . In their only season, the Whoopees finished fifth in the SHL and had a clearly negative record with only 22 wins in 62 games.
From 1996 to 2002 a team joined the Central Hockey League and later the East Coast Hockey League , which was named Macon Whoopee based on the Whoopees .
